Nick is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan from 2002 to 2013, where he served as a Combat Engineer on multiple overseas deployments. As with many veterans, his transition from the military to civilian employment landed him in the construction industry as a local union laborer. His construction industry experience comprised of storm and sanitary sewer treatment facilities and other buried utility installations. His military and civilian construction experience eventually took him down a path of occupational safety and health, in keeping with his desire to serve his community and the workforce within it. Nick holds a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certificate and Graduate Safety Professional (GSP) credential from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), as well as a B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health with honors from Columbia Southern University.
